The remaining land lease is transferred to the buyer by the US Forestry Service. This land is under the Federal Recreation Residence program and leased under a special use permit. The first order of business is all the funds to close are placed in escrow with the title company and the buyer then makes application with the Forestry Service to transfer the existing special use permit. The transfer is then approved locally and then sent to Tallahassee to be signed and returned, which can take weeks.
